Want to know how porn addiction works? It suffocates you, that’s how: squeezes out every last ounce of anyone you’d ever known yourself to be, and makes it so that you don’t care or think about anything besides your crushing desire to view porn. For me, porn addiction was more than just a disease: It was my identity; it was who I was. Before I got porn treatment, I was a shell of a human being, a creature without Purpose, without Point. And that, believe me, is a thing that no one wants to be.

 

The good news is that porn treatment works. It did for me, anyway. As suffocating as porn addiction is…as much as it turns you into a slave to your need…the right treatment really can make it better. All you’ve got to do is give it a chance. For your own sake, let today be the day you get the help you need to get better. Some things, after all, are too important to put off until tomorrow.
